I Should Have Known

Soft Machine/Middle Earth Masters
(Cuneiform Records/Rune 235/CD)

Soft Machine/Middle Earth Masters

When I was walking around my house with playing iPod, Suddenly iPod plays Soft machine's 'I Sholud Have Known'. It makes me running back to my room and putting this CD on my player and listen. Because I listened them after a long time..

I used to listen to many of early soft machine's bootlegs. like 'Turns On Vol.01&02','Middle Earth'. This CD is definitive edition of the times I think.

We can listen to the document of early soft machine's Psychederic session! Mike Ratledge's Fuzz organ rule their atomosphere and Robert Wyatt's Rolling drum and Kevin Ayers' Strong Bass is very amazing. Especially 'I should have known-track8 ver.' is best track for me.

What Color Is Love

Terry Callier/What Color Is Love
(Reprise/6407/LP)

Terry Callier/What Color Is Love

One day My friend write about Terry carrier on his blog.
I look for my record Shelf and pick this record and listen.
I bought this record about 10 years ago or so, and listen 2 or 3 times then leave it on my shelf for a long time.
But Time changes this record' value for me.Very excellent record!
Especially A-side's beautiful Song flow with sweet and progressive strings arrangement. His voice is very dark and honest feeling inside.

It moves my empty head so high and I was thinking about a certain special feelings that this record gave to me.

Angel Of Mercy

Tommy Flanders/The Monnstone
(Lilith.LTD/LR-106/LP)

Tommy Flanders/The Monnstone

This is the solo album of early BLUES PROJECT's Vocalist from Verve Forecast 1969. I have been looking for this record for a long time, Finally I cannot wait for the time when I found original copy..I Bought re-issue one from Russia.

Tommy's sensitive singing leads 11 Dreamy Pieces for The moonstone. they supported by delicate but very strong guitar of Bruce langhorn (He's one of my favorite guitarist). Very cool record.

Mornin' I'll Be Movin' On

Paul Williams/Someday Man
(Reprise/WPCR-1958/CD)

Paul Williams/Someday Man

Paul's Debut Album with His fatal partner Roger Nichols. Off Course He is very famous for his beautiful songwriting, But I Like his tone of voice very much. Especially 'Someday Man' and 'Mornin' I'll Be Movin' On' ! They moves me very deeply and I sometime sing them By chance..

Bass Line's Mysterious floatage feeling leads to Lights and Shadows of Younger Days. I am not good listener of Roger Nichols (In Japan He is very popular than any other country) and I haven't listened his new album putting out last year. But This record remainds me the feeling mixed with hope, hesitation and desire. Everytime I listened to this record, I think about Margo Guryan's beautiful record 'Take A Picture'.

When Harpo Played His Harp

Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers/Modern Lovers 88
(Demon/FIEND-106/LP)

Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers/Modern Lovers 88

It was released in 1988, from 20 years from now.
This is the last album that Jonathan took the name of 'Modern Lovers'.
This Record filled with Nice and slaezy rock and roll with small acoustic combo.
I think 'Modern Lovers 88' is dedication for the rock and roll classics 'rocket 88'??
He sings very strange lyrics as he always do.
But I like his music very much and Especially 'Harpo played his harp' is my one of favorite tune.
